Art and Healing with Martha HallBy John Walters on Monday, April 16, 2001.Martha Hall is a NH native who now lives in southern Maine. She's an artist who has been living with breast cancer for 11 years. She used to be a weaver, but had to give it up because of the physical consequences of an early surgery. Now, she makes original, one-of-a-kind art books; each book is a work of art itself, with handmade paper and bindings, and a mix of art and text inside. Much of her art deals with the joys and pains of her illness. She also regularly speaks to patients and health-care providers about her art, and her experiences living with cancer. listen: No audio currently available. Order on CD (pdf).
