Gauging NH's 'Social Capital'

Social capital is the fiber some people say we need for a healthy communities. A new survey finds NH is rich in this resource. Findings show Granite Staters are civic-minded residents who trust their neighbors and volunteer more than people in other states. Still, organizations that track social capital say these connections to our communities could erode as more outsiders move into the state. Physics, African music and development aid

Iago Lowe is a graduate student in Physics at Dartmouth College. He's put his studies on hold lately to spend more time on "Reaching Lazarus," a charity he's founded to aid people in a remote area in Tanzania. He's produced a double-CD of the religious music of the region to raise money for those efforts.
