On the 4th Annual Read Across America Day, educators nationwide are re-emphasizing reading with kids. Laura talks with children's book author and NPR commentator,Daniel Pinkwater, about his thoughts on making books appealing to kids and adults, and how he comes up with story ideas. Pinkwater has written dozens of
children's books. His most recent is "4 Fantastic Novels," a collection

Gary Johnson: Dartmouth professor, dinosaur-hunter

Gary Johnson's specialty - sedimentary geology - might seem a little tame, but his research explores fluctuations in the world's ocean level. One of his current projects involved the discovery of thousands of fossilized dinosaur footprints.

A web site featuring New Hampshire musicians!

Bob Desmarais of Goffstown is the creator and webmaster of nhtunes.com, a site devoted to musicians in New Hampshire. A musician himself?his latest CD is called ?Music for the Times??he saw it as one way to support the local music scene.
He?s also created a CD featuring some of the musicians on his site.
