Insanity Defense

One of the teens indicted for murder of two Dartmouth College professors will be pleading insanity in the case. We'll talk about how insanity is proved and why this defense is rarely used. Laura's guests are Franklin Pierce Law School professor Albert (Buzz) Scherr and Richard McNamara, former prosecuter with the NH Attorney General's office and attorney in Manchester.

Helping Porters in Nepal

Ben Ayers was a college student who went to Nepal for a semester and discovered a cause. He founded Porter's Progress, a group that helps the porters of Nepal. Porters carry the loads on tourist expeditions. They often carry much more than their body weight up the highest mountains in the world without proper cold weather gear- all for very little pay.
