GOP Head Calls It Quits

After 4 terms as NH Republican Party Chair, Steve Duprey says he won't run again. In the first half of Duprey's tenure, the GOP was clearly dominant in state politics, but since 1996, Democrats have made significant inroads, winning the governorship three times. Some GOP activists say the party needs a new strategy.

Governor Shaheen Begins Third Term

In her third inaugural address, Governor Jeanne Shaheen says state lawmakers must come up with a permanent solution to the state's education funding crisis in this session of the legislature. She said she would be issuing her own funding proposal in the next few weeks.
