Fire Safety and Older Buildings

A fire in a Concord apartment complex has left three dozen people homeless. Fire officials say the damage would have been far less if sprinklers had been in place. Sprinklers are required in new buildings, but this apartment complex was built before those regulations were in effect.

Region Braced For Higher Fuel Prices
